Information ResourcesCRED provides access to a broader set of information resources that are vital for the integration of scientific information within the various frameworks that individuals and communities use in decision making. Here the goal is not to foster specific decision responses, but rather to enable those who are making decisions to understand what they and their constituencies know and, more specifically, how they think about alternative courses of action—or taking any action at all. These information resources will not provide answers to the dilemmas of decision making, but they will provide a context in which decision makers and public and private managers can think about the issues and understand the perceptions of others who have a stake in the outcome of the decision. | |
