Biography
Dr. Marx is the Associate Director at the Center for Research on Environmental Decisions (CRED) and holds an adjunct research position at the International Research Institute for Climate and Society (IRI). She joined CRED in January 2005 after two years of post-doctoral work at the IRI. She has received her Ph.D. in medical history from Carnegie Mellon University, and holds Masters degrees in Sociology, Pedagogy, Psychology, and Art Therapy from the University of Cologne, Germany.

The work of Sabine Marx falls in the area of decision making under uncertainty with a focus on seasonal climate forecast use, particularly in public health, livestock health, and agriculture. She is especially interested in the integration of physical sciences and social sciences, and outreach to decision makers and policy makers.

At CRED, Sabine Marx is responsible for the coordination of 20 plus research projects and for building synergy among the various projects.
